Coaching is, at its heart, a relational practice. Growth happens through the relationships we build, the space we create, and the connections that help people discover new possibilities.
This November, the FOCOS Platform community will gather to explore how relationships shape coaching, leadership, and organizational growth. We're delighted to introduce three of the experienced trainers who will guide our conversations.
Linda J. Miller, MCC: Building a Culture of Coaching
With decades of experience in professional and faith-based coaching, Linda J. Miller has helped bring coaching into organisations, leadership development, and Christian ministry.
During her 23 years with The Ken Blanchard Companies, she served as Global Liaison for Coaching, coached corporate leaders, and helped organizations develop coaching capabilities. In 2005, she partnered with Western Seminary to co-design 125 hours of coach training, establishing a pioneering accredited programme within a theological seminary.
A founding recipient of the ICF Master Certified Coach designation, Linda is also co-author of Coaching for Christian Leaders and Coaching in Organizations.
Ben Olsen, PCC, CPCC: Creating Space for People to Grow
With more than 25 years of experience as a facilitator, instructor, and curriculum developer, Ben Olsen brings a passion for experiential learning and meaningful relationships.
His background spans professional acting, pastoral care, spiritual growth, and coach education. Today, he serves as Program Director and Director of Coach Education & Training at the Global Center for Coaching, working alongside Linda to equip and develop faith-based coaches. He has also contributed to coaching education at Western Seminary.
Claire Pedrick, MCC: The Power of Doing Less
Claire Pedrick, MCC and Coaching Supervisor, has more than 15,000 hours of coaching experience. Her work encourages coaches to move beyond an over-reliance on models and techniques towards greater presence, simplicity, and genuine partnership.
Her book, Simplifying Coaching: How to Have More Transformational Conversations by Doing Less, explores how doing less as a coach creates more space for clients to think and discover their own insights. The 2026 second edition explores deeper partnership and coaching maturity.
